 Far from what might be considered “typical” knitting, Maggie’s unique creations incorporate everything from lines of home décor, shawls that can be pinned and draped in a variety of ways to create different looks, skirts, cardis, sweaters and more.
Come Experience and Be Inspired at the Maggiknits “Headquarters”—the heart and design center of the company. The opening of the showroom marks a huge milestone for the business. It is a space we hope to see as multi-functional for special events, classes, retreats, and much, much more. This is not a store open to the public every day…your group of 10 or more will be our special guests for your very own event arranged through your local yarn shop or guild.

- Free Form Knitting—1 Day Event - ‘Thinking Outside The Box’ This is a class inspired by colors and textures, a variety of stitches, knotting and knitting some of the yarns together, making-up squares and rectangle swatches that can be freely assembled according to the creator’s own design with some guidance from Maggie.

- Irish Tea - 1 Day Event - Enjoy lunch with Irish Tea in china cups along with other Irish Inspired treats – Shamrock-shaped shortbread with real Irish butter, Irish chocolates, and Irish Whiskey fudge to name a few!! Class will be inspired by Shades of the Emerald Isles, heathers on the moor, the stone hedges, farming life, thatched cottages and much more of what is traditionally Ireland.

- Knitting Murder Mystery - Weekend Event – Oh My Who Did It???? Character allocation will be given before the event - Come in costume for the theme and win a prize. What is in store for this weekend of mayhem and mystery? Fun, laughter, knitting, great food and wine, and a Fashion Show. plus a few surprises along the way!! The class will use the theme as inspiration for the stitches eg 1920’s, 1960’s or an Irish themed murder!!

- Chair Covering Class - 2 Evening classes or 1 day event. - Yes, it’s a cover up!!! Want to make a tired chair the talking point of the room? What about those sweaters, scarves etc that you knit and no-one is wearing, swatches sitting in a pile, let Maggie show you samples in the Showroom of her innovative chairs recycling old knits AND then work with you to reinvent your chair in a class.

- Knitting Guilds – 1 Day Event – Includes a Class with Maggie’s unique techniques and tips from her 34 years experience as a Fashion/Knitwear Designer. A Fashion Show with Maggie’s styling tips.

- Shop Hop - If you have a group, min 10 we can open the Showroom for a presentation and viewing. It needs to be pre-booked with a small fee.

 Maggie Jackson School of Fashion Knitwear Design - A special 6 month course with 5 weekend workshops, design your own stitches influenced by objects you will have photographed, make your own accessories, use the International Catwalk Trends for your styling, be guided by Maggie Jackson’s 34 yrs experience. Much, much more, building to a Fashion Show with your designs, similar to ‘Project Runway’ with an International Retreat as a prize for the winner. Judging will be by high profile judges in the industry with the winning design going into print and production as a kit.
- The Irish Knit/Cook Weekend - Great food, great knitting. Chef Stevie, from Maggie’s Ireland Book, will be flying in specially from Ireland to do some Irish cooking demonstrations, with your participation at Maggie’s own apartment, which has superb views of Kalamazoo. Includes a little wine tasting!! A special class with an Irish influenced project will make this a unique weekend. Men welcome. if not knitting they can get extra time with Stevie.
